SQFI Extends Certification Due to Coronavirus

Mar 7, 2019

We understand that with COVID-19 impacting many business operations, the ability to conduct audits has been heavily influenced by the need to prevent further spread of the novel coronavirus. Therefore, SQFI has implemented a procedure to defer certification due to extenuating circumstances.

The SQF extension policy aligns with the GFSI position towards deferring certifications and follows the recommendations set forth by the International Accreditation Forum, Inc.

We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update you as new information becomes available and if this affects the extension policy.
