SQFI Fundamental Factors for Social Responsibility (F2SR) Auditor Training Course

The objective of this course is to provide auditors with the knowledge about the ANAB Accredited SQFI Fundamental Factors for Social Responsibility (F2SR) Code, and is a necessary step to become qualified to audit the SQFI F2SR Code. However, anyone interested in learning more about sustainability and the F2SR code is welcome to attend.

The course is based on the auditing methodology documented in ISO 19011 and the technical skills necessary to audit the SQFI F2SR Code. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have a full understanding of the SQFI F2SR program and its auditing requirements. A Certificate of Attendance will be issued indicating the participant has completed SQFI F2SR training as one of the competencies necessary to become an SQFI F2SR Auditor.

Who Should Attend:
Attendees are not required to have auditing experience prior to attending the course.

However, those wishing to audit to the F2SR Code must qualify with, and send evidence of the following credentials after the course: Management System Lead Auditor training course of 40 hours duration through an accredited program (e.g., Exemplar Global, IRCA, etc.) or SQF Lead Auditor training. Other similar Lead Auditor training courses will be reviewed and considered.

Applicants will have a minimum of 3 years work experience in occupational health and safety (OHSMS), quality (QMS), environmental and/or food safety management system activities. Exposure to human resources (HR) management activities is also desirable and up to 2 years of HR experience can be used in lieu of 2 years of OHSMS, QMS, environmental or food safety management activity work experience.

All applicants must provide evidence of management system auditing experience within the past five 5 years, comprising a minimum of 160 hours (20 audit days) in OHS (occupational health and safety), quality (QMS), environmental, human resources (HR) management systems and/or food safety management system activities.

Course Instructor: Steve Brown’s career includes 30 years of experience in manufacturing and 12 years in consulting, spanning multiple organizational levels, industry sectors and management system standards. His career has provided the opportunity to gain practical experience in 35 U.S. states and 26 countries. Steve co-authored the newly-accredited SQFI Ethical Sourcing (ES) Standard, is the lead trainer for ES auditor training and was the first auditor approved by SQFI to audit against the requirements of the ES Standard.
