COSTS

Costs for implementing and maintaining an SQF 1000 or SQF 2000 system will vary according to the following factors:

  • The level and scope of certification requested
  • Whether the product is high-risk or low-risk
  • The use of external consultants
  • Training requirements
  • The size of the operation (number and complexity of product lines)

Most primary producers and suppliers have already undergone some type of food safety auditing, so making the move to the SQF Program is usually quite seamless. You may only need to have your current policies and practices validated by an SQF Consultant and update them as needed. The time it takes to implement a management system can vary according to your resources.

For more details about the cost of the Certification Audit, please contact a licensed SQF Certification Body.
