Trainer Registration

Summary of SQF Trainer Qualifications

All applicants:

  • Must attend and successfully complete one of the following courses: Implementing SQF 2000 Systems course, Implementing SQF 1000 Systems course or SQF Auditor Course – Auditing SQF Systems and successfully pass the online exam.
  • Must attend an objective “Train the Trainer” course of at least 8 hours in length
  • Have at least 3 years of experience in training technical food safety in which 20 days include training of quality (ISO 9001 or equivalent) adult training courses.
  • Must have completed two (2) SQF courses taught as Provisional Trainer, witnessed by a Licensed SQF Trainer
  • Must meet the qualifications of SQF Consultant in at least one (1) food sector category and attend a HACCP training course OR be a registered SQF Consultant/Auditor
  • Must be contracted to a licensed SQF Training Center
  • Must agree to the SQF Trainer Code of Conduct

When completing the online application you will be directed to upload documentation to support your qualifications. To expedite the processing time please have these documents ready to upload before you start the application process. Once you begin the application process, you must complete the personal details section and save your information. If you leave the application page before submitting your personal details, you will have to restart from the beginning. To expedite the processing time of your application, please upload all supporting documents immediately after filling out the personal details section of the application. However, you will have 14 days to return to the application page and upload any supporting documentation.
