Auditor Re-Registration

Auditor Re-Registration is conducted by SQFI. It is designed to enhance the integrity of the SQF Program by providing the food industry with a register of Auditors who have the appropriate qualifications and work experience necessary for auditing SQF Systems. Summary of SQF Auditor Re-registration Qualifications

Re-registration is required annually to maintain registration as an SQF Auditor. All applicants:

  • Must submit an audit log demonstrating a minimum of six (6) SQF system audits or 10 audit days. All audits shall be formal audits.
  • Must have carried out at least 15 hours of continuing professional development, within the past 12 months, that was relevant to their food safety work and their personal needs for skills and knowledge. The following activities are examples of acceptable professional development, if related to the food industry, which can be used for this requirement:
    • Formal short course participation;
    • In-house course/workshop participation;
    • Conference/seminar attendance;
    • Professional Body/Association meeting attendance;
    • Relevant committee and working group meeting attendance;
    • Preparation and public presentation of papers;
    • Preparation and publication of articles.
  • In addition to the 15 hours of continuing professional development, SQF Auditors must have attended and completed an SQF Professional Update Webinar.

When completing the online application you will be directed to upload documentation to support your qualifications. To expedite the processing time please have these documents ready to upload before you start the application process. Once you begin the application process, you must complete the personal details section and save your information. If you leave the application page before submitting your personal details, you will have to restart from the beginning. To expedite the processing time of your application, please upload all supporting documents immediately after filling out the personal details section of the application. However, you will have 14 days to return to the application page and upload any supporting documentation.
