SQF CERTIFICATION BODY CRITERIA

What are the criteria to become a licensed SQF Certification Body?

For a certification body to become licensed with the SQF Institute, they must demonstrate that they meet the requirements of ISO/IEC Guide 65/IEC:1996 and the SQF Guidance Document for Certification Bodies.

The Certification Body must be accredited by an IAF accreditation body that is approved by the SQF Institute.

The SQF Guidance Document for Certification Bodies specifies the criteria that certification bodies shall observe when operating third party certification of a suppliers SQF system. It provides guidance on ISO/IEC Guide 65:1996 in order to satisfy the requirements implicit in the certification of a SQF system and the product that is produced under these systems.
