Final Draft of the Revised SQF 2000 Code Available

The final Draft of the revised Edition 6 of the SQF 2000 Code is available. The preparation of this draft represents the most comprehensive review of the SQF 2000 Code since its development in 1994. The revisions involved restructuring the Code and including more details about fundamental food safety requirements expected of a food suppler (building and equipment design and construction; Pre-requisite Programs; requirements for canned food manufacturers) and changes to SQF Practitioner requirements. A comparison of the Edition 5 and the new Edition 6 is provided outlining the changes. Once the document is finally approved, audits against this Edition 6 will be conducted 2 months after the release date and existing suppliers will have 6 months from the release date to update their existing SQF Systems.Click here to download a document outling these changes
