Q: I have to apply for recertification as an SQF Professional. Part of this process requires taking the Professional Update Webinar. However, I will be unable to attend the live webinar. Can I still sign up for the course?

A: Absolutely. A recorded version of the webinar and examination is issued to each registered participant who has paid in full.

Q: I am receiving an automated certificate renewal email from Quickfire Office, but I have already re-registered my company with the database. Why am I receiving this information?

A: The notification you are receiving is the Certificate Renewal notification. This notification is in regard to your SQF certificate, not your site registration status. Certification Renewal Notifications are sent from Quickfire Office in order to inform you that your current SQF Certificate is about to expire within the system. These notifications serve as a warning for your site to schedule your next audit with your Certification Body. If you have already done so, you have the ability to customize your notifications via the notification customization user guide available to you on our website, www.sqfi.com, under the “Suppliers” tab, then “Assessment Database.” This guide is titled “Managing Notifications Guide.”

Q: Does a mock recall need to take place when the Auditor is present?

A: No, a mock recall only needs to be conducted annually. According to 4.6.3.3 of the SQF 2000 Code, “the product withdrawal and recall system shall be reviewed, tested and verified at least annually.”
